Sportsman’s Raffle- This will be our big fundraiser for the year. Tickets are 1 for $10 or 3 for $20. Many prizes will be awarded including cash, stay at the Kalahari and golfing, gift certificates for taxidermists and much more. (See a complete list of prizes on the tickets included with this letter.). The drawing will be held at the March 4th Smelt Feed.
January 6th: Rabies Clinic 6 PM - 9 PM
January 21st: Lake Redstone Fisheree; Hourly drawing for biggest fish; Includes Dutch Hollow, Hemlock, and Baraboo River areas. 8 AM to 3 PM
February 9th through the 12th: Coyote calling Contest; $20 per person maximum of three man team; 1st place awarded to the team with the highest total weight of all coyotes, 2nd to the heaviest coyote and 3rd to the lightest coyote; weigh-ins will take place at the clubhouse at 7 AM on Sunday February 12th
February 18th: Coyote Hunt; $10 entry fee per person; prizes awarded to biggest and smallest coyote harvested; 6 p.m. deadline.
March 4th: Smelt Feed at Club Chapparel (on hwy 33 between LaValle and Wonewoc); Running from 11 AM unti 7 PM. The drawing for the big Sportsman’s Raffle will take place at the end of the Smelt feed.
March 24th: Hound Event-Crossman Creek- Eldin Fessy
April 18th: Wednesday Trap nights begin. Practice shoots will be held on April 20th & 27th, May 4th & 11th. Trap League shoots will begin on Tuesday, May 18th.
April 21st: SPRING CLEAN UP DAY. Beginning at 8 a.m. - ???
April 28th & 29th: Bear Hunter’s Association weekend benefit
May 5th: Paws and Claws- Jerry Luke Bear Field Trial 10:00 a.m.
May 26th: Tooth and Fang Hound Event- Bill Carpenter
June 9th: Coon Field Trial & Water race 8 a.m. (water race to follow field trial) & WI Bear Hunters Meeting
July 9th: 3-D Archery League begins; Must be a member; $30 Entry Fee; will run 8 weeks
August 25th: Archery Shoot 9 AM - ???; $10 entry fee; Membership not required
August 26th: 4th Annual LSC Members Potluck 10:00 a.m. - ???; Members bring your family and a dish to pass; FREE beverages and meat provided by the Sportsman’s Club; Participate in a day of fun at the clubhouse!
November 3rd: Ladies and kids fun coon hunt; Check-in deadline 11 p.m.
November 10th: Biggest coon and poundage hunt; $10 entry fee; 80% payback, awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Check-in deadline-midnight
